Manual

'Vital.' That's the central concept of ZEUS World. Thanks to this online service it is now possible to compose a detailed risk profile for any location in the world. Accurate to within a square metre (!)

ZEUS World clearly maps all information on flood risks, earthquakes, hurricanes and other climate events and geographic-related risks per location. Because of this ZEUS has become a vital tool for public organisations, insurers, project developers, transporters and the logistics management.

Functionalities

ZEUS World can be accessed via http://www.zeus-world.com It is also possible to test some free layers.
After login in selecting the location of interest needs to be done by selecting the specific country first.

Choosing location

After selecting the country the exact location of interest can be chosen with help of the following steps:

Entering a coordinate of the desired location (this is country indifferent, the system will recognize in which country the coordinate is situated).
Entering the street name, house number and city for some countries.
Clicking on the button 'Use coordinates'. The centre of the map will be used as a location.
Dragging the marker to another location.

Layer selection

After entering the exact location the system will show you what information (layer information) is available for that specific location. The information will be grouped by the kind of information. Check the boxes of the information you are interested in. By clicking 'Analyse' the information layers will drawn on the map. This gives you an impression of for instance the size of an earthquake zone. To the right of the map a summary of the according information will be shown. At this stage you have paid the information by credits.

Report

More specific information is available by clicking 'View full report'. In the report information like for instance the earthquake risk, the source of the dataset en the year of which the data originates will be shown. No credits will be debited after opening the report.

The generated report will be saved and can always be retrieved via the 'View all reports' link. A report can be send by e-mail to a third party. This party doesn't need to have access to ZEUS World. They can open the specific report.

The report can be printed and saved as PDF (if your computer has the availability to print to PDF). A report consists of a front page, a map and extended information about the layers selected.

All reports from all users within one license agreement will be stored in the REPORTS section. The reports will be shown on a map and in a list. Clicking the marker on the map or the link in the information list can retrieve the generated report.
