CRESTA Zones
Basically, there is no risk that cannot be insured against. But, as an insurance provider, how high should your rates be?One main indicator for every insurance is the premiums they pay for their reinsurance. Reinsurance is often based on the models provided by CRESTA. CRESTA (Catastrophe Risk Evaluating and Standardising Target Accumulations) is an independent group led by Munich Re and Swiss Re which promotes the accurate and efficient perils. CRESTA furthermore and most importantly, established a worldwide zone classification used within the insurance industry, the CRESTA Zones. The CRESTA Zones are defined for most of the world down to postcode level. CRESTA Zones are the basis for reinsurance negotiation and portfolio analysis.
ZEUS World holds the CRESTA Zones so any (re)insurer can easily find the required CRESTA Zone in ZEUS World by simply typing the address or Postal Code of a location.
ZEUS World offers a project management tool, enabling you to organize all insured projects per CRESTA Zone and store several data like the name of an insured project/location, policy number, insured sum, insured share, possible maximum loss (PML) etc. to a project location.
Using ZEUS World you can draw a map containing the total insured value per CRESTA Zone and compare this to a choosen maximum value.
